About Hitchcock Creative
Established 2008

Hitchcock Creative is a Washington, DC based design, marketing, and communications firm, specializing in accessible design and marketing for arts organizations. Our primary focus is working with arts organizations and clients who value accessible materials and events, for people with disabilities.

Hitchcock Creative started as a print design firm in 2008. Over the years we have provided clients around the world with print and digital materials such as gala invitations, books, brochures, conference materials, performance print marketing, event collateral, advertisements, logo design, event or company branding, and social media graphics. In addition to graphic design, we can provide light photography and video services to enhance your social media plan.

We specialize in print and digital marketing on a variety of levels from one-time consulting to long term social media coordination, email campaign design, and overall marketing strategies. With online presence being critical to organizations, we help you craft your message to attract the right audience.

We believe good design is functional and accessible to everyone. We have the expertise to make your projects Section 508 compliant, meeting the top accessibility standards. We believe accessibility does not stand in the way of creativity.

Hitchcock Creative is the 2011 Maxi Gold Award Winner for Non-Profit Events Direct Mail Campaign for the Washington Animal Rescue League 2nd Annual Holiday Dinner. The firm's entry in the 2011 Urban Forest Project DC was chosen to be hung in a show at the Corcoran Gallery and later made into street banners hanging throughout downtown Washington, D.C.

We are located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, but proudly serves clientele from around the globe. Please contact Sarah for more information on how we can help you with your next project.

I studied Theater at Florida State University and moved to Washington, DC after graduation, where I worked at various theater companies in production management, guest artist services, audience services, and event management. I realized I had a desire to be visually creative and wanted to put that to good use. That's when Hitchcock Creative began.

After several years of designing part time, I decided to turn the company into a full time endeavor. It was the best decision I ever made. I now have the opportunity to work with theaters, museums, and performing arts organizations on a daily bases, and use not only my knowledge of design, but of their company needs, to help produce an outcome that is high quality and within budget.

In 2018 I expanded the business to include a brick-and-mortar stationery shop in historic Occoquan, Virginia. Hitchcock Paper Co. has quickly become a local favorite for unique greeting cards, journals, stationery, calligraphy supplies, and more.
