Sarah Hitchcock Burzio

President & Chief Creative Officer

Sarah studied Theater at Florida State University then moved to Washington, DC, working at various theater companies in production management, guest artist services, audience services, and event management. While working in events, she realized she had a desire to be visually creative and started freelance designing for arts organizations.

After several years of designing part time, Sarah decided to turn the company into a full time endeavor. She now has the opportunity to work with theaters, museums, and performing arts organizations on a daily bases, and use her knowledge of design - and how nonprofits work - to help produce an outcome that is high quality and within budget.

In 2018 Sarah expanded her portfolio to include a brick-and-mortar stationery shop in historic Occoquan, Virginia, just outside of Washington, DC. Hitchcock Paper Co. has quickly become a local favorite for unique greeting cards, journals, stationery, calligraphy supplies, and more. In 2020, she started the Hitchcock Paper Co. stationery line of cards, stickers, and other paper goods, selling to shops in the US and Canada, plus the flagship store in Occoquan. Contact Sarah
